Fire Stations

Station #1 located at 35 East Manitou Road was constructed in 1961. The former Station #1 was originally Braddock's' Heights fire station which was built around 1923. The former station was located at the corner of Second Avenue and East Manitou Road. Recognizing the need for a more modernized building, the new station was built with the donations from fund raising efforts of the volunteers and the generously of the area lake shore residents. This station continues to serve the residents of Lake Shore's west end.

Station #2 located at 545 Ling Road was opened in 1958. This east end fire station was built as a result of an increase in residential and commercial growth in the Shoremont area of the Lake Shore Fire District. Originally the station was planned to be Crescent Beach station #2. A very large portion of this building was constructed by our own volunteer firefighters. Upon opening the station was named Lake View Fire Company.

Station #3 located at 1 Long Pond Road opened in 1986. This building was a constructed to serve two previous neighborhood areas of the Lake Shore Fire District ; Grand View Heights and Crescent Beach. The Grand View station formerly Lake Shore Station #2 station was closed in 1983 due to a fire as was the Crescent Beach station formerly Lake Shore Station #3. The former Station #2 was originally located at 225 Lowden Point Road and Station #3 was located at 1391 Edgemere Drive. This combination centralized station was the first full time staffed fire station of Lake Shore Fire District and called Headquarters'. In 1992, the fire station was officially re-dedicated after the first Fire Chief of Lake Shore and named the Charles L. Carroll Fire Station.
