Members of the Lake Shore Fire Department along with personnel from Barnard FD, North Greece FD, Ridge Road FD, Greece Volunteer Ambulance and Monroe Ambulance all joined together to train over 6,000 students from the Greece School District (grades 6 through 12) the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills necessary to save a life.

Because of this joint training event the Greece Central School District will become the first school district in New York to have national “Heart Safe Schools” Accreditation.
